Speedplay

Speedplay pedals are like no others! Their ingenious pedal / cleat system is not designed that way just for its own sake, its that way, because Speedpay have found ways of improving virtually every aspect of existing clipless pedals designs...

Road pedals:

The Zero & X Series pedals are incredibly lightweight, and due to the use of intelligent engineering, and high quality materials, incredibly durable! A major cause for such weight reduction is the engagement mechanism, which is housed in the cleat, eliminating a large amount of now redundant pedal parts, ending up with a simple and light weight dual sided pedal design...

Speedplay Zero:

Fixed or float, it's your choice!
The Speedplay Zero Pedal System introduces a new concept in pedal design that allows you to choose either a fixed position or up to 15 degrees of float. Zero pedals maintain the traditional feel of a fixed system while incorporating all the well-known advantages of Speedplay X Pedal Systems. Dual-sided Zero pedals offer light weight, easy engagement and disengagement, a low 11.5mm stack height and superior cornering clearance. The engagement mechanism does not rely on spring tension for retention, so you don't have to crank down a tension adjuster just to prevent inadvertent release. Best of all, you can choose either a fixed position or a microadjustable 15 degrees of float.

Speedplay X Series:

Ultralight, and so much more!
The Speedplay X Series' innovative design and unrestricted float changed the shape of clipless pedals and continue to prove that user-friendliness, comfort, and improved performance are all attainable in a simple, lightweight package. The unique shape of X pedals provides knee-saving lateral rotation, without the self-centring action inherent in most pedals - your knees don't have to work against spring tension. Their compact, low profile shape positions your foot closer to the spindle, for optimal power transmission, not to mention the unmatched cornering clearance. And their dual-sided design provides the easiest entry/exit of any clipless pedal. In fact, the X Series is so innovative that it won a Designers Choice Award from ID Magazine, the premier publication in the field of industrial design. Whether you're a pro racer or a first-time clipless pedal user, no pedal is easier to use or offers more performance than the Speedplay X Series.

Note: Zero pedals are not compatible with Speedplay X-Series cleats nor are X-Series pedals compatible with Zero cleats.

MTB Pedals:

Frog! The name given to the off road version of the Speedplay pedal... As the name suggests, these pedals are equally at home in muddy or dry conditions, and due to their cleat size, ideal for riders that like to walk in cycling shoes... Perhaps one of the most versatile walkable cleat pedals available!

Speedplay Frog:

Unsurpassed versatility
Not just a great off-road pedal system, Speedplay Frog pedals are ideal for road riders who prefer a recessed, walkable cleat. Like their amphibious namesake, Frog pedals are equally at home in dry or muddy terrain. Their unique cleats are virtually immune to clogging with mud or dirt, because debris is pushed out whenever you engage the pedal. This simple mechanism also puts an end to those infuriating falls caused by gunked-up pedals that won't release. You get out when you want to, and never when you don't. Of course, you also get all the advantages of Speedplay's other innovative designs: knee-friendly, non-centring free float; lightning-fast entry and exit; and phenomenal light weight. Whether you ride a mountain bike, road bike, tandem or 'cross bike, the Speedplay Frog can do it all.
