As proven in off-road motorcycle motocross, pairing a larger diameter front wheel with narrow tyre (29 x 2.6”), with a smaller diameter rear wheel with plus sized rear tyre (27.5 x 2.8”), Olympia have created a bicycle that not only corners with ‘on-rails’ precision, rear traction and impact absorption are greatly increased due to the monster rear tyre, a combination dictated by the advent of higher power & torque pedal assist systems, which can over power grip on loose terrain. The adjustable rear end can be configured to achieve optimum suspension geometry, grip and handling whatever the terrain, and even positioned accept a 29” rear wheel matching the front diameter & tyre size if you wish. A low-slung Hydroformed aluminium frame ties the hole package together beautifully creating a lightweight yet bulletproof package. Based on Olympia’s new winning formula using 29” front and 27.5”+ rear wheels (as pioneered by Genbo & EX 900 Sport), the Entry level EX 900 full suspension E-MTB provides the first step on the ladder of E-MTB greatness A new concept to bicycles, although it’s a wheel, tyre & suspension combination proven over decades in off-road motorcycle motocross. Before the advent of pedal assist and the increased power and torque provided by advanced motors and batteries, these were not issues to consider, although as E-MTB’s have evolved to offer near motorcycle levels of torque and performance the same solutions apply. Furthermore, the rider can adjust the rear suspension to dial-in their optimum geometry, or configure the rear end to accept a 29” rear wheel matching the front diameter & tyre size. The EX 900 has been developed from the ground up using a unique Olympia mid motor and internal battery system. The Ananda motor is one of the most powerful available today, producing 100Nm of torque and seamless near silent & efficient pedal assist. Olympia’s own PowerNine battery provides an extraordinary 900Wh capacity for above-average runtime, which together forms a highly responsive & finely calibrated system that matches rider inputs perfectly. The latest technology 21700 LG lithium cells are used to ensures the best possible footprint to output energy ratio, offering 900Wh in virtually the same space as commonly used integrated batteries with a fraction of the output. Not only will Olympia’s PowerNine battery take you further, it can be fully charged from flat using the 4Ah charger in under 6 hours. The large volume air shock attached to the top-tube provides a low standover height & optimal rising rate suspension geometry, highly sensitive through its initial travel with a progressive compression curve towards the end of the stroke. Full internal routing maintains the sleek and stylish aesthetic, allowing height dropper remote cables etc. to be hidden from view (and mud), alongside gear cables and brake hoses etc. An adjustable chain control device and replaceable mech. hanger, thru-axle inserts & seatpost clamp ensure serviceability and longevity. The EX 900 is available in three standard sizes (S / M / L), and offered in two versions; ‘EX 900 Prime’ with Rock Shox Deluxe Select + shock (Colour 04 / Red over Black) or ‘EX 900’ with Suntour Raidon shock (Colour 27 / Blue over Silver).
